Guide to Install Xposed Framework on Android 5.1 Lollipop

The Xposed framework is one of the best mod for the rooted android smartphones and tablets. With the help of Xpsed Framework you can perform minor tweaks in the Android system without needing to flash ROMs. You can do lots of customization on your android like, change the icons, status bar, notification bar, lockscreen tweaks and lot more. Now the Xposed Framework is available for the Android 5.1 lollipop devices, installing the Xposed framework on Android 5.1 will require a rooted Android device with a custom recovery like TWRP or CWM installed. Once the Frames work is installed on your phone, you can install lots of xposed module on your phone and make some change on your phone and add some cool tweaks on android. Today here we’ll show you how you can easily install the Xposed Framework on your android.

Note: The current version of Xposed framework for Android 5.1 Lollipop is not compatible with stock Samsung ROMs. And before following this guide take a full backup of your system before proceeding and turn off any currently installed modules before flashing the zip file.

How to Install Xposed Framework on Android 5.1

Step 1. Download the Xposed framework zip file here and move them on internal storage of your Android device.

Step 2. Now download the Xposed installer APK from here and move them on your phone.

Step 3. Once both the files are saved on your phone, Boot you phone in recovery mode.

Step 4. From recovery mode. Tap the ‘Install’ button and select the Xposed ZIP file that you had transferred to your device in Step 1.

Step 5. Once the ZIP file has been installed, reboot your device back into Android.

Step 6. Now open file manager on your phone and install the Xposed installer APK file that you saved on your phone in step 2.

That’s it! Now the Xposed Framework is installed on your phone and now you can install new modules by going to the ‘Download’ section of the app, and manage existing ones by going into the ‘Modules’ section.

  5. This method isnt working for me, I’m on the Oneplus One Nightly (5.1). When I go to TWRP to install the zip file, it says error…..and a bunch of stuff in red text. Help?

  7. I updated TWRP, and still same problem. It said to get the right version of the Xposed framework for my ROM.

  11. Hi I’m using samsung galaxy garand 9082 CyanogenMod 12.1in lollipop 5.1 but CyanogenMod mode recovery in not install option plz tell me how to install xposed module plzzzzz

  12. the link is not working, by the way, does works on samsung s3(i9000) with ressurection remix 5.1.1 installed ?
