Few Days back Xiaomi released the MIUI 7 for Xiaomi phones and the new MIUI 7 update is based on the Android Lollipop. Most of the Xaiomi users are looking for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, if you are Xiaomi Mi 3, Mi 4 phone user then you can try Android 6.0 on your phone. All credit goes to the developer Ivan who created the Android 6.0 AOSP Custom ROM for Mi4 and Mi3 phones. The ROM is still in beta stage, but most of the features of the Android 6 is working fine on the ROM. Most of the users already flashed theROM on the phone and enjoying the Marshmallow on Xiaomi Mi 3, Mi 4. We tested the same on Mi 4 phone and the ROM work fine and running smooth. Here in this tutorial we’ll show you how to flash the Android 6.0 Marshmallow on Xiaomi Mi 3, Mi 4. The process is very simple and all you need custom recovery to flash the zip file on your phone.
The below mention method is only for the Xiaomi Mi 3, Mi 4 users and do not use this guide on any other Xiaomi phones. Before following the guide do take the full backup of your phone and follow all the steps very carefully.
Flash Android 6.0 Marshmallow on Xiaomi Mi 3, Mi 4
Step 1. First download the TWRP recovery here on your phone and Go to Setting>Updater or Open Updater App from home screen. From here Press menu button and then “Select update package”. Select the recovery zip and install it. Reboot device. If you already done this then follow the Step 2.
Step 2. Download the Android 6.0 Marshmallow ROm zip file for Mi 3 and Mi4 here and save it on your desktop. Don’t extract the folder on your desktop.
Step 3. Now download Google Apps package zip file here and save the zip file on your desktop.
Step 4. Connect your to the PC with USB cable and move both the downloaded files on your phone internal memory.
Step 5. Reboot your phone into TWRP recovery mode (Go to Tools > Updater > press Menu key and select ‘Reboot to Recovery mode’)

Step 6. Now from the recovery menu, Select ‘Wipe’ > Advanced > select Wipe data & cache and confirm.
Step 7. Go back and select ‘Install’. Select the Android 6.0 Marshmallow ROM File and Flash it.
Step 8. Once the flashing process is done again select the Google apps package.
Step 9. Now go back Reboot your phone by selecting ‘reboot system now’.
That’s it! Now your MI 3 and Mi 4 phone is running on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow ROM.
