How to Install LineageOS on Android Devices

How to Install LineageOS on Android Devices

Before you begin with the tutorial, make sure that ‘USB Debugging‘ is enabled from Settings > Developer Options. See here how to enable the USB debugging mode on your phone.

Download LineageOS for your phone.

Install TWRP on your Android

Install LineageOS on Android Devices

Step 1. Download the LineageOS zip file and Gapps zip file from the above mention links and save both the zip file on your phone’s internal memory.

Step 3. Now from the Recovery main menu. Select “Wipe” from TWRP main menu and do a “Swipe to Factory Reset” on the bottom of the screen.

Step 4. Once done, go back to TWRP main menu, tap on “Install” and select the Lineage OS (zip file) that you transferred to your device in Step 1.

Step 5. After selecting the .zip file, do “Swipe to Confirm Flash” on the bottom of the screen to begin the custom ROM installation process.

Step 6. Now install the Gapps zip file to install the Google application on your phone.

Step 7. Once both the zip file are successfully installed, go to “Wipe cache/Dalvik” option, select it and then do “Swipe to wipe” on the bottom of the screen.

Step 8. Once done, reboot your device from the TWRP main menu.

The first reboot may take a long time so do not worry. Now your phone is running on the latest LinegeOS custom ROM.
