Now lots of other Model from Xiaomi like MI4, Note, Pad are coming very soon in the Indian market. If recently bought any of these devices from Chinese market of form any other sources and want to know how to flash or update the MIUI ROM on your device manually. Here is the complete guide which you can follow on your Xiaomi android device to update your device with the latest stable ROM or Developer ROM.
In this guide we’ll show you two different method to Flash MIUI ROM. First with the help of Xiaomi update app and second with the help of the recovery method. Both the methods are pretty easy to use and take some time to complete the process. Lets take a look how to do that.
NOTE:- Flashing a newer version of MIUI ROM doesn’t need to wipe data, but flashing an older one does from recovery (Wipe Cache and Wipe User Data).

1. Flash MIUI ROM on Xiaomi with Updater App
Step 1. Download the latest MIUI ROM Download Now
Step 2. Now move the ROM zip file on your device internal SD Card.
Step 3. Now open Updater app on your device, press the Menu button – Select installation ZIP file or Select Update package. Choose the ROM pack you want to flash, and select Update now.
Step 4. Once the update process is done, select Reboot now to enter the new system.
That’s it! Now the MIUI is successfully flashed on your Xiaomi devcie.
2. Flash MIUI ROM in Recovery
Step 1. Download the latest MIUI ROM Download Now
Step 2. Rename the File to update.zip and move the file to phone internal SD card.
Step 3. Launch the update app on your device and press the Menu button, and select Reboot to recovery mode.
or turn off the phone, press the Volume+ key and the Power button at the same time, wait until the screen wakes.
Step 4. Once your phone is in recovery mode. From the menu select “English”. (use the volume keys to select,and the Power button to confirm).
Step 3. Now from the main menu select “Install Update Zip” option.
Step 4. Now the update process will start on your phone and once it is done. GO back the the recovery main menu and select reboot to system one.
That’s it. Now your device is update and running on the latest MIUI ROM.

Hi, I just purchased a new Redmi 1s from flipkart.
I am wondering would it be a good idea to try out KXDCNBF24.0 ?V5? (Xiaomi Mi 4 Stable ROM) on my new device.
What I am worried is if it fails, would be I be able to do facotry restory to get the phone backup again & how ?

Why you want that and specific reason. And if am not wrong you can’t use the Mi 4 rom on your Redmi 1s.
Is the new miui 6 still in beta? Not released by normal update.
