Oneplus Team officially released the new OxygenOS 2.2.1 update for the Oneplus 2 users. The new update in near about 214MB and comes with some bug fixes. The new update is already rolled out and most of the Oneplus 2 users already updated their phone with this new update. To check the update on your phone go to Settings, About Phone and Check System updates. If you are rooted user then you have to unroot your phone and check the update. You can also install the OxygenOS 2.2.1 update on OnePlus 2 manually. All you have to flash one zip file on your phone and you are done. Here in the tutorial, we’ll show you how to do that and install the update on your phone.
This guide is only for the Oneplus 2 users and don’t try this method on any other android phones. Before following the below mention tutorial read all the steps very carefully and do take the full backup of your phone.

Install Oneplus 2 OxygenOS 2.2.1 OTA update
Step 1. Download the OxygenOS 2.2.1 OTA update Zip file here and save the zip file on your Oneplus 2 internal memory. [Mirror Link]

Step 2. After this boot your oneplsu 2 in recovery mode. Check out our guide here how to boot Oneplus 2 in recovery mode.
Step 3. Once your phone in recovery mode, use the Volume button to navigate to ‘install update’ and press the Power button to select it.
Step 4. Browse the OTA zip file that you saved on your phone in Step 1 and Install it.
Step 5. Upon completion of the installation, select Reboot system now to reboot the phone.
Voila! Your phone is running on the OxygenOS 2.1.2 version.
Is there a way if rooted and using TWRP?
Hey! thanks a lot, I tried this, but it still fails! As soon as the phone boots back up, it shows the new update available for download notification. I have unrooted and flashed original recovery already.
Downloaded the 2.2.1 rom (970mb) from oneplus, copied the file to my oneplus2 via airdroid and ran installation from recovery mode, success! Update to any version from 2.1.0 just didn`t work.
