Update Galaxy Note 4 with Official XXU1COH4 Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Firmware

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 users can now update their phone with latest official Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Firmware update XXU1COH4. This one is the last final lollipop update for the Note 4 users, after this they will get the Marshmallow update. The new update comes with lots of new features and bug fixes. Some of the features which are included in this new official update are new icons, new S Pen functionality and much more. You can get this update via the OTA update, in Poland the update already started and very soon other countries will get this update, But here in this guide we’ll show you how to apply this update on your phone manually. The process is very simple and the update is only for the Note 4 N910C and N910F model. So do check the model of your phone before applying this method.

Before following this guide do take the full backup of your note 4 and enable the USB debugging mode on your phone. Go to Settings->Applications->Development->USB debugging in your device. After that follow the below mention steps on your note 4 step by steps.

Update Note 4 With Android 5.1.1 Lollipop

Step 1. Install the USB drivers for your note 4 here.

Step 2. Download the XXU1COH4 Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Official Firmware for Note 4 N910C here
Download the XXU1COH4 Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Official Firmware for Note 4 N910F here
extract the folder on your desktop.

Step 3. Now download the ODIN flash tool here to flash the update on your Note 4. Unzip the folder on your desktop.

Step 4. Now Turn off you Note 4 and boot in download mode, To do this press volume down, power and home buttons at the same time to go to Download Mode and connect your Note 4 to the PC with USB cable.

Step 5. Once the phone is connected, Now run the ODIN.exe file from the ODIN folder that you saved on step 2, and click on the AP button. Navigate to the folder where the extracted Official Firmware file is and select it. Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked under the Options tab.

Step 6. Click the “Start” button at the bottom of the ODIN screen to start the process. Now the flashing process will start on your phone and this will take some time.

Step 7. Once completed, your phone will reboot.

Now your Note 4 is running on the Official XXU1COH4 Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Firmware. Enjoy!
