Guide to Install OxygenOS on OnePlus One Android

Now the wait is over, finally, the Oxygen OS is available for the Oneplus one users. If you are waiting for the ROM from last few months, then you wait is over. The new rom comes with lots of new features and based on Android Lollipop. In this guide, we’ll show you how to install the Oxygen OS on oneplus one phone. The guide is very simple and all the oneplus one users use the same guide on their device to get this new update on your device, Yes, You can’t receive the OTA update for the same, you have to install it manually on your phone. This one is the official update not the custom ROM and only for the Oneplus one android users.

Before following this guide do take the full backup of your phone and save it in some safe place. To get started all you need a unlock bootloader device with TWRP recovery. Read our guide here how to unlock bootloader and install custom recovery.

OxygenOS Installation Instructions

Step 1. One the TWRP recovery in installed on your device, Download the Latest Version of OxygenOS ROM zip file here and save it on your desktop.

Step 2. After this connect you phone to the PC and Move the OxygenOS zip file on your phone.

Step 3. After this turn off your phone and boot in recovery mode. To do this Hold Volume down button + Power button foe few seonds and you will boot in reocvery mode.

Step 4. Now your phone will boot in recovery mode.

Step 5. Now after this select Wipe option from the recovery main menu and and Wipe Cache, Dalvik cache and data.

Step 6. Now go back to the main menu of the recovery and Select Install option and ‘choose zip from sd card’ from the Options.

Step 7. Select the OXygenOS zip file and confirm the installation on next screen.

Now this will flash the latest Oxygen update on your phone.
