If you recently owned the new Samsung Galaxy S5 android smartphone and facing some issues with loudness of its built-in speaker volume and want to increase the volume of your device. You can do this easily with the simple mod. To get this all you need a rooted phone with CWM or TWRP recovery. All credit goes to the XDA member stalli0nUK who prepared a volume boost mod for the Galaxy S5 that significantly increases the speaker volume of the device. The sound boost mod is available in three loudness levels: lite, medium and high. Here is the following guide which you can use on your device and apply the mod on your device. Read all the instructions very carefully and don’t forget to take the nandroid backup of your device.
NOTE:- The mod has been tested successfully on the international Galaxy S5 LTE SM-G900F, T-Mobile S5 SM-G900T, Canadian Galaxy S5 G900W8, etc.
Details of Galaxy S 5 Mods:-
.v1 Lite
All sounds boosted by 4, I choose to increase by only 4 as I felt this gave a great boost to the stock level without sound distortion.
from feedback this is the best/perfect level of sound
.v2 Medium
All sounds boosted by 5, Medium Level sound increase. personally untested due lite is best for me.
.v3 Extra Loud
All sounds boosted by 6, Extra Loud Level sound increase. personally untested, could cause a crackle sound when music, ringtone etc is
played.
.v4 Lite + Headphone Increase
Same as Lite, apart the headphone volume is increased slightly more, tested and is ok for a boost to your tunes.
How to Install:
As we mention above to apply this mod you need a rooted device with recovery. Read our guide here how to Root and Install recovery on Lallygag S5.
Step 1. Download the Galaxy S5 Volume Boost Mod from here and save the zip folder on your desktop.
Step 2. Connect you phone to the PC with the help of USB cable and move the sound boost zip file on your device.
Step 3. Switch off you device and boot in recovery mode. To do this press and hold the Volume Up+Home+Power buttons together for 4-5 seconds.
Step 4. From the recovery menu “Choose Zip form SD card” option and install the Mod Zip on your devcie.
Step 5. Once the installation is done, reboot your phone using the Reboot system option.
Once the device is rebooted you will feel noticeably louder speaker volume on it.
