Install Stock Android Lollipop 5.0.2 on the Xiaomi Mi4

If you recently bought the Xiaomi Mi4 Android smartphone and want to install the stock Android Lollipop 5.0.2 on your phone. To install the rom on your device all you need a ROM zip file, Custom recovery. Before following this guide do take the backup of your phone. After that follow all the below mention instruction one by one your phone and install the Stock Android.

Step 1. Download the CWM recovery for the MI 4 here and move the zip file on your phone internal storage.

Step 2. After this Go to Setting>Updater or Open Updater App from homescreen.

Step 3 From here Press menu button and then “Select update package”

Step 4. Select the recovery zip and install it. Reboot device

Step 5. Now the CWM recovery is installed on your phone.

Step 6. Download the Stock Android Lollipop 5.0.2 for Mi4 here [Alternate link]. And move the zip file on your Mi 4 phone storage.

Step 7. Reboot your device n recovery mode. Go to Tools > Updater > press Menu key and select ‘Reboot to Recovery mode’.

Step 8. Choose ‘System1’ in select system to manage.

Step 9. Select ‘Wipe data/ factory reset’ and confirm to wipe.

Step 10. Select ‘Wipe cache partition’ and confirm.

Step 11. After this Go to ‘mounts and storage’ and select ‘format /system’ option.

Step 12. Now Choose Install Zip From SD CARD ,Then O then Choose the ROM ZIP file and Choose Install.

Step 13. Let it install as it generally take 5-8 minutes.

Step 14. Now go back to CWM recovery main menu and Reboot your phone by selecting ‘reboot system now’.

Now the first boot will take some time. That’s it. Now you Mi 4 is running on the Stock Android Lollipop 5.0.2.
