Google+ Verification Badges for Profiles

Just Like Twitter, Google+ rolled out a new verification badge program for the profiles. Google employee Wen-Ai Yu explains in a Google+ post, the Google+ team is “focused on verifying public figures, celebrities, and people who have been added to a large number of Circles, but we’re working on expanding this to more folks.”

Google says that this is just the beginning and have not stated that how a profile can be applied for a verification badge.

The new badges initially appear as a small, gray, circular checkbox to the right of the account name, and then expand on mouse over to say “verified name.” Google also promise that they’re planning to expand the verification program, you can also see the video below:-
