Official Exodus Android 5.1.1 ROM is now available for the Oneplus 2 android smartphone. The new custom ROM is based on the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. Exodus is one of the most popular ROM and comes with lots of features and better battery life. If you are the Oneplus 2 user and a big fan of custom ROM and want to install this new ROM on your phone. Here is the simple guide which allows you to install the same on your android phone. All you need a rooted phone with TWRP recovery to flash the ROM zip file and Google Apps package on your Oneplus 2. This is the official version of Exodus ROM and most of the features of the ROM is working fine and tested by the developers. Some features that are not working are Finger print scanner, and developers are working on this and very soon the new update will release with this new feature.
This guide is Only for the ONEPLUS 2 user and don’t try this guide on Oneplus 1 or any other android smartphone. Do take the backup of your phone, It is always recommended to take the backup of phone, in case something goes wrong you can restore your all files easily.
Flash Exodus Android 5.1.1 ROM on Oneplus 2
Step 1. As we mention above to get started you need a rooted phone with TWRP. Read the guide here how to root and install TWRP on oneplus 2.
Step 2. After that download the Official Exodus Android 5.1.1 ROM zip file for Oneplus 2 here. Don’t extract or unzip the file.
Step 3. Download the GAPPS package here and don’t extract the folder. You need to flash this file to install all the Google application on your phone.
Step 4. Connect your phone to the PC and move both the zip files on your phone internal memory.
Step 5. Once files are moved, boot your phone in TWRP recovery mode. See this how to boot in recovery mode.
Step 6. Now from the TWRP recovery screen. Select the Wipe Option > Advanced Wipe and Wipe Cache/Data/Dalvik Cache/System.
Step 7. After this go back to the main screen of recovery and select the Install option, select the Exodus Android 5.1.1 ROM zip that you saved on step 2 and Flash it.
Step 8. After that, Select the Gapps zip file and flash it.
Step 9. Once both the files are flashed, go back to the main screen of TWRP and select Reboot option to restart your phone.
Step 10. First boot will take some to apply the changes on your oneplus 2.
Now you phone is running on the Exodus Android 5.1.1 ROM. Enjoy.
