If you recently updated your Android One phone with the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow official update and looking for a tutorial to get the root access on your phone. Here in this guide we’ll show you how to root Sprout4 and Sprout8 Android One phones running on Android 6.0. To achieve root, you have to flash the custom kernel and SuperSU zip file with the help of TWRP recovery and you are done. Once the phone is rooted you can enjoy lots of rooted applications and custom ROMS on your phones. All credit goes to Thunderzap team to releasing the kernel and Chainfire for SuperSu Zip file. The guide is simple, flash the kernel through a custom Recovery like TWRP or Philz and then flash the SuperSU v2.50 that will update the superuser binaries and root your device.
This method will work on these Android One devices:-
- Micromax Canvas A1
- Karbonn Sparkle V
- Spice Dream UNO
- MyPhone Uno
- Symphony Roar A50 (8GB variant is also SPROUT4 by default)
- Cherry Mobile One
- Nexian Journey One
- Mito Impact
- Evercross One X
Read all the instruction very carefully and follow all the steps one by one on your phone. And don’t forget to take the full backup of your phone.
