Step 1. Enable USB debugging enabled
Settings => About phone => Click 7 times on Android Build to unlock developer.

Step 2. Under Developer Options, enable ‘Allow Mock Locations’, to properly root your device.

Step 3. Install the latest Sony USB drivers from here.

Step 4. Download the root tool for Xeprai z3 and Z3 compact here and extract it on your desktop.

Step 5. Now connect your phone to the Windows PC with USB cable.

Step 6. Put your device in air plane mode.

Step 7. Run install.bat and follow the instructions on screen.
